Characteristics of Excellence
- An award winning outdoor science lab.
- A variety of "co-curriculars" to involve all
students, including Creative Encounters, Student Council, Safety
Patrol, lunch time clubs, and fourth grade chorus.
- Our classrooms have four IBM computers used daily by the
students and staff to support our curriculum and individualize instruction.
- Our school library contains over 13,000 volumes.
- OhioReads Grant Recipient
- New art gallery with student work permanently
displayed.
- A volunteer program which utilizes many, many parents, high
school students, and senior citizens, who donate many hours each month.
- A variety of special services are available to meet the special
needs of our students, including Title I Reading, Gifted, Special Education, and Guidance.
- Special events which support the curriculum, including Bio
Bash, Ohio History Fair, Parent Proficiency Night, Portfolio Night, and many others.
- The first student council was established in 1998.
- Harvard Business School Award for Excellence in
School Management.
- Named one of the Top Twelve Progressing Schools
in a study of 600 Ohio schools in a Battelle for Kids study.
