Victoria Budzyn
Victoria Budzyn

Victoria Budzyn will be teaching math at Bay High School. She holds a bachelor's degree from Baldwin Wallace University in math with a minor in education. Victoria has worked as a long-term substitute at North Royalton Middle School and Bay High School. She is a resident of Lakewood who grew up in East Aurora, NY, where her mother, father and brother still live. She likes traveling, reading and hiking, and she is the head coach for lacrosse at Bay High School. "I want to help students find a love for math and learning, and encourage them to be the best versions of themselves," she said.

 

  Emily Deyarmin

Emily Deyarmin

Emily Deyarmin will be teaching AM Kindergarten at Normandy Elementary. She holds a bachelor's degree in early childhood and special education from the University of Pennsylvania. A resident of Avon, Emily hails from Grove City, Pennsylvania. She loves spending time with her parents and three siblings, and will be married this November. In her spare time she reads, and she loves to visit Jekyll Island, Georgia and any other beach. She is the 7th-grade volleyball coach at Bay Middle School. Emily says, "I became a teacher because I love spending time with children. They have such a joy for life and an interest in learning."

Kara Donahoe
Kara Donahoe

Kara Donahoe will serve as an intervention specialist at Bay Middle School. She holds a bachelor's degree in special education with a minor in language arts from Michigan State University and licensure as an intervention specialist from Ashland University. She enjoys coaching lacrosse, traveling and walking her dog. She will be married in June to a Bay High graduate. "I became a teacher to encourage and engage students, and to help them be successful members of today's society," she said.


Laura Hall
Laura Hall

Laura Hall will teach French and Spanish at Bay Middle School. She holds a bachelor's degree in French with a minor in education and psychology from Dickinson College, and a master's in education technology - curriculum and instruction from Cleveland State University. The Rocky River resident is married with four children and enjoys spending time with family, travel and photography. She has hosted two foreign exchange students - one from Austria and one from Chile. "I have always liked working with children," she said. "I love teaching students the new skill of learning languages."

Brittany Jobanputra

Brittany Jobanputra will teach PM Kindergarten at Nornandy Elementary. She holds a bachelor's degree in childhood education with a reading endorsement from the University of Akron. A Medina resident, Brittany is originally from Denver, Colorado, and she recently welcomed a new puppy into her home. She loves sports (especially Denver Broncos), reading, spending time outdoors, shopping and learning how to be a better cook. "I wanted a profession where I would love waking up and going to work," she said. "I have always loved working with children and really enjoy helping them reach their full potential."

William Prebul
 
William Prebul

William Prebul will teach Kindergarten at Normandy Elementary. William is a Bay High graduate and holds a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Kent State University. He enjoys music, computers and anything to do with dogs (he has four dogs of his own). William lives in Bay Village and, along with his parents, has two sisters and a brother. He is engaged to be married. "I became a teacher to lend my ability to help the future," he said.

  Kim Ray
Kim Ray

Kim Ray will serve as an intervention specialist at Bay High. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and education of the handicapped from Bowling Green State University. Kim resides in Bay Village with her husband, four children and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, managing a Destination Imagination team, participating in 5K runs and other activities with her kids, and rucking! Kim has lived in Kyoto, Japan and in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. "I am a teacher in order to help children become productive citizens in their communities," she said.

  Paul Warren
Paul Warren

Paul Warren will serve as a Bay High at-risk tutor. Paul holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from Marquette University, and licensure as an intervention specialist from Ashland University. He and his wife live in Bay Village with their two sons. Paul enjoys photography and playing the guitar, and he plays the ukulele, too! "I am doing this because I like to work with kids," he said.

Kelsey Wermer 
Kelsy Wermer

Kelsy Wermer will teach Spanish at Normandy Elementary. She holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish education from the University of Toledo and a master's in Spanish teaching from Southern Oregon University through the University of Guanajuato, Mexico. She enjoys running, paddle boarding, waterskiing, shopping and all Cleveland sporting events (especially this year). She ran her first marathon this year in the "snowmageddon that was the Cleveland Marathon." She realized she wanted to be a teacher when working as a camp counselor on a military base in Rota, Spain. "I realized I love the language and working with children," she said.
