Here is a story to warm your heart:
The enduring friendship of Bay Middle School sixth-grader Thomas DeCarlo and Bay High School freshman Lee Aldridge was featured on Romona's Kids.

If you missed it, view it now!

Here Westerly students perform their new song in this video!

Westerly students explore song writing, and more!

Musician and songwriter Hal Walker spent time with Westerly music students over several weeks teaching elements of songwriting, lyrics and even
how to make an "ancient hand whistle!"
Westerly Elementary now has its own original song (read lyrics here)!
(Hal Walker was sponsored by Westerly PTA.)

Normandy Elementary's Wall of Kindness

This former Exit was blocked off when construction of our new addition began. Normandy second-graders turned the blank plaster covering into a Wall of Kindness! Each student drew a picture of himself or herself and noted an example of kindness.

Mrs. Hope Feicks provided the materials, assembled, and hung the finished project. Dozens of kindness examples, like "Treat others the way you want to be treated," and "Say good morning to a friend," show that students learned a wonderful lesson after reading The Kindess Quilt by Nancy Wallace and using their imaginations for something so good!

Read more details about this great project HERE.
