Word Play In Bay
Research shows that students who begin kindergarten with a large working vocabulary will be more successful as readers by the time they reach high school. Perhaps the greatest gift we can give our children is the gift of language. The best way to build vocabulary in any child at any age is to talk to them, read out loud with them and expose them to a wide variety of words in many contexts. We have created the Word Play Around Bay Pocket Guide as a tool to help parents, grandparents, and caregivers of our pre-school children make vocabulary a fun part of their day. Use the link below to download this pocket sized brochure from our website. In it you will find "talking ideas' for locations around Bay Village including Heinen's, the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center, Bay Playspace and more. You will also find QR codes that will take you to resources available at our Bay Village Public Library. To use the QR codes, you will need to add a free QR code reader app to your smartphone or other personal electronic device.

CLICK HERE to access the Mobile Version - formatted for Personal Electronic Devices and Smartphones OR scan the QR code below with a QR scan app on your mobile device.
